Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W200-BE25-01-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as a member of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It functions as a digital AC servo drive controller that conditions three-phase power and closes torque, velocity, and position loops for industrial automation axes. Installed in a multi-axis rack beside a compatible supply unit, it distributes controlled current to synchronous or induction motors used in packaging machines, printing presses, and material-handling equipment. The controller is intended for coordinated axis operation, so it supports repeatable speed changes and stable motion during continuous production duty.
This unit delivers a continuous output of 200 A, providing the connected motor windings with the current needed for rapid acceleration and braking cycles. Communication with upper-level motion hardware occurs through the SERCOS interface, which provides deterministic update timing for closed-loop control. Cooling relies on air from inside the control cabinet, so the enclosure must provide adequate circulation around the unit. The feedback port accepts digital servo feedback, while a secondary channel also accommodates resolver signals so legacy motors can be used without an external converter. With a protection category of IP20, the controller has finger-safe live terminals but still requires installation inside a closed cabinet where dust and fluids are controlled.
The allowable operating range spans 0 – 45 °C, which suits most indoor factory environments without the need for external cooling equipment. For storage, the unit tolerates temperatures between -30 – 85 °C when it is not in operation. Performance remains unchanged up to 1000 m elevation, and derating applies above that level to limit thermal stress. Configuration tracking uses Function ID version 01, and the controller is assigned to Line 02 with hardware version 2.
