The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.2-W200-BE24-00 is the basic unit for a DDS series modular drive controller. The basic unit includes slots for hardware modules, power connection, and communication interfaces for the controller. A type plate is attached to the basic unit. It lists information that can be used to identify the various modules that are installed on the unit. A software module installs in slot U5 of the basic unit. A firmware configuration type plate is attached to the software unit. It allows identification of the exact firmware version that is stored on the software module. The drive firmware is ordered as a separate subposition. Drive parameters are also stored on the software module. If a DDS controller develops a fault, the software module can be moved to a replacement controller. This allows rapid commissioning of the replacement drive, minimizes system downtime and prevents loss of business productivity.
A command communication module installed on slot U1 of the basic unit. The command communication module installed on the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-00 supports SERCOS. The controller also supports digital servo feedback and resolver feedback. Because of this feature, either a motor with an integrated encoder or a motor with an integrated resolver can be used with the controller. Rated output current of the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-00 is 200 Amps. The rated output is valid if the controller is used under recommended ambient conditions. Use of the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-00 under non-recommended ambient conditions causes output derating. The controller is designed for heat technology. The heat generated during operation is dissipated inside the cabinet. For this reason, large cabinets have to be used to ensure appropriate inter-device spacing.
