The DDS02.2-W200-BE12-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is designed to regulate torque, speed, and position of compatible servo motors installed in factory automation cells, packaging lines, and material-handling axes. By closing the control loop inside the cabinet rather than on the motor, the unit limits exposure to harsh surroundings while still delivering precise motion commands to attached motors. Its cabinet-mounted format also helps keep sensitive electronics away from moving machine elements and contamination near the axis. Typical applications include indexing axes, feeders, and transfer systems that require repeatable movement under changing loads.
The controller exchanges real-time motion data over a SERCOS interface, so status words travel on a fiber-optic ring with deterministic timing. A continuous output of 200 A allows the drive to energize medium-to-large motors without current derating during fast accelerations. Heat generated by the power stage is removed by internal cabinet air cooling, which uses air from inside the enclosure instead of an external cooling method.
