Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W200-BE12-01 is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a digital AC servo drive controller, it regulates power delivery and motion commands between a servo motor and a higher-level automation system, making it suitable for positioning axes and coordinated multi-axis lines. The unit is intended for cabinet installation with other drive modules, where short motor-side cable runs help limit electrical noise. Fiber-optic communication also allows the controller to exchange command and status data without adding conductive signal paths inside the cabinet.
The controller belongs to line 02 in the series and uses the SERCOS interface for deterministic, real-time exchange of setpoints, feedback, and diagnostics with the master controller. Thermal regulation relies on air drawn from inside the control cabinet, so the surrounding enclosure must provide enough airflow to carry heat away from the drive. The unit can deliver a continuous output of 200 A, which supports high-demand servo axes during sustained operation. Its IP20 housing helps protect against accidental contact with live parts, but it still requires installation inside a suitable enclosure. Motor control can use digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, which allows compatibility with different feedback systems.
The controller operates in ambient temperatures from 0 – 45 °C and may be stored between –30 – 85 °C when kept free of internal condensation. Installation is allowed up to 1000 m above sea level, and operation above that height may require additional cooling or reduced load. The unit is Version 2 and uses Function ID version 01 for this controller type. These limits matter when the drive is mounted in dense cabinets, because ambient heat, storage conditions, and elevation affect how much heat the enclosure can remove during continuous operation.
