The DDS02.2-W200-BE11-01-FW belongs to the DDS Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is a digital AC servo drive controller that regulates the power stage of synchronous and induction motors in automated machinery. By combining drive electronics with standardized communication and feedback channels, the unit links a higher-level motion system to the attached motor for coordinated axis control within an industrial automation cell. It also serves as the interface between a regulated DC bus and the motor windings, converting command values from the motion controller into controlled output current.
The drive communicates with the host control system through a SERCOS interface, giving deterministic cycle times for position, velocity, and diagnostic data. It supports a continuous phase current of 200 A, so it can be paired with high-torque motors without oversizing the supply section. Cooling uses air from inside the control cabinet, which requires unobstructed airflow around the heat sink. An enclosure rating of IP20 limits the device to protected indoor panels where contact with live parts is prevented by cabinet mounting. The permissible ambient operating range is 0 – 45 °C, which suits most machine rooms with conditioned air or forced ventilation.
Position feedback can be processed through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing mixed-technology installations on the same SERCOS ring. Installations up to 1000 m above sea level do not require output derating. During long-term storage or transport, the electronics remain stable between -30 – 85 °C. The hardware platform uses Version 2 logic and is assigned to Line 02 with Function ID 01. Because it accepts both feedback types, the controller can support encoder-based servo axes as well as resolver-equipped motor configurations within the same machine layout.
