Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W200-BA06-01-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a digital AC servo drive controller, it modulates three-phase output to govern torque, speed, and position on coordinated motion axes in automated production lines. Positioned between the machine's PLC and the connected motor, it translates command values into timed current pulses that keep feedback signals aligned with programmed motion. This arrangement makes the unit suitable for applications where repeatable axis response and closed-loop motor control are required throughout a production cycle.
This unit exchanges command and diagnostic signals through an analog interface, allowing direct setpoint delivery from legacy or mixed-protocol control architectures. It supplies up to 200 A of continuous output current, which supports demanding axes with substantial inertia or frequent acceleration changes. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling, so airflow is drawn from inside the control enclosure and no external ducting is needed. With a protection class of IP20, the drive is intended for installation inside a cabinet where guarded access to live parts can be maintained. Position loops are closed using digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing the unit to work with motors that use either feedback method while maintaining stable control behavior.
The drive operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C and can be stored in temperatures from -30 to 85 °C. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without derating, which suits most standard industrial locations. The unit uses Function ID version 01 for this configuration. Hardware line 02 and version 2 place the drive on the second-generation platform while keeping the established pinout and mounting dimensions used by earlier DDS modules.
