Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE75-02-FW is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. In an automated line, this unit forms the power and communication link between a central motion control system and a matched Indramat servo motor. By modulating three-phase output current based on high-speed feedback, it controls torque, velocity, and position for packaging, printing, and material-handling machinery. Its closed-loop response helps coordinated axes stay accurate during starts, stops, and load changes in continuous machine cycles. The drive belongs to Line 02 and is released as version 2 for use with expansion modules commonly installed in modular cabinets.
This controller can deliver up to 100 A of continuous output current, allowing it to run medium-frame motors without external amplifiers. Electrical parts are finger-safe because the housing carries the IP20 protection rating, so installation inside a closed cabinet is required. Motion commands and diagnostics pass through the deterministic SERCOS interface, permitting synchronized multi-axis coordination over a fiber-optic ring. Thermal management relies on internal cabinet air, and fans built into the enclosure draw that air through the heat sink without separate ducting. Reliable operation is specified between 0 to 45 °C, so the drive can deliver its rated output current throughout that ambient temperature range.
For position verification, the drive processes encoder signals through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing one unit to work with either high-resolution or coarse feedback transducers. This feedback flexibility supports installations that use different motor feedback devices on separate axes of the same machine. The unit may be mounted in facilities up to 1000 m above sea level without changing its stated ratings. It can also be stored in non-operating conditions from -30 to 85 °C, which supports placement in unheated storage areas between installations.
