Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE49-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts logic-level commands from the automation system into regulated three-phase output for synchronous or asynchronous servomotors, delivering precise torque, speed, and position control on assembly, packaging, and material-handling axes. Its modular construction fits onto a shared power bus, which lets multiple axes be combined in a single cabinet without external contactors. The controller is intended for cabinet-mounted automation systems where accurate response and repeatable motion are required across several coordinated axes.
For deterministic motion networks, the drive provides a SERCOS interface, carrying real-time setpoints and feedback over fiber optics for synchronized communication with higher-level motion control. The fiber-optic link helps maintain deterministic timing between command updates and returned drive data. The power electronics are sized for a continuous current of 100 A, which indicates the level of motor demand the controller can support during continuous operation. The IP20 housing requires installation in a protected control cabinet. Heat is removed by air from inside the control cabinet, so cabinet ventilation must support circulation across the heat sink. All ratings apply up to an installation altitude of 1000 m.
During operation, the controller remains within its permitted temperature range from 0 to 45 °C. When powered down, it can be stored or transported between -30 to 85 °C. Motor position data can be processed through either digital servo feedback for high-resolution encoders or resolver feedback for rugged analog transducers. This allows the same drive platform to support both high-resolution digital feedback and more rugged analog feedback arrangements across compatible servo systems.
