Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE48-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller in the DDS Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Within an automation cell, it modulates supplied power for a servomotor and closes the velocity and position loop for axes that require precise, programmed motion. This makes it suitable for indexing units, feed axes, and other machine movements that depend on repeatable speed and position control. Because the controller combines power conversion with closed-loop regulation, it serves as both the power stage and the motion control stage between the machine supply and the motor. The unit is part of Line 02, Version 2, and Function ID Version 01, which identifies its place within the DDS platform.
Communication with higher-level PLCs is handled through a SERCOS interface, so real-time command values and diagnostics can travel on one fiber-optic ring with deterministic timing. The drive has a rated output of 100 A, and heat is removed by internal air cooling drawn from inside the control cabinet rather than by an external blower. Rotor position can be returned through digital servo feedback or resolver feedback, allowing the controller to work with different motor feedback formats used in the DDS range. The housing has an IP20 rating, and permitted ambient operating temperature ranges from 0 to 45 °C, so the unit must remain inside a closed cabinet with adequate ventilation and basic contact protection. When mounted near other heat-producing equipment, clear cabinet airflow helps the drive remain within its operating range during continuous duty.
Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, where normal cooling performance can be maintained without altitude-related derating. For storage, the controller can remain in environments from -30 to 85 °C when it is not in operation. These limits support warehouse storage as well as transport through varying seasonal conditions. After storage at temperature extremes, the unit should be allowed to return to normal cabinet conditions before power is applied so condensation and thermal shock do not affect operation.
