Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE33-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as the regulated power stage between an Indramat supply unit and a synchronous or induction motor, carrying out closed-loop control that keeps speed and torque aligned with the commanded profile in automated machinery. The controller regulates motor current from the supply section and uses returned feedback data to correct speed and torque deviations during operation. Communication with upper-level PLCs occurs over the SERCOS interface, an optical fiber link that carries setpoints, feedback, and diagnostic data in real time for coordinated axis control.
This model delivers a continuous output of 100 A, so the connected motor can draw high current during rated operation without premature current limiting at the controller. That current capacity supports larger motors and demanding duty cycles where repeated acceleration can raise phase current well above light-load levels. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, which pulls cabinet air through the heat sink and exhausts it without external ducts, so clear airflow around the unit is required. The feedback channel supports digital servo feedback for precise electronic commutation and also accepts resolver feedback when a more rugged position signal is preferred in demanding environments.
The drive is in Line 02 and is built as Version 2. Those identifiers place the unit within the matching DDS platform for this product generation. It carries Function ID 01, which presets key parameter groups at the factory and keeps the configuration matched to this control platform. The required operating software is ordered as a separate firmware subitem so it can be matched to the selected line and version.
