Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE30-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In an automation cell, it links a motion control host to synchronous or induction motors, regulates current, and supervises position loops in real time. This supports coordinated axis movement in material handling, packaging, and machining equipment. Because current, speed, and position are processed inside the controller, connected axes can follow programmed motion profiles with stable response during acceleration, deceleration, and steady running. The controller is suited to multi-axis cabinets where compact mounting and deterministic communication are needed.
Fieldbus communication is handled through a high-speed SERCOS interface, allowing cyclic setpoint exchange and diagnostic feedback between the drive and the PLC. The inverter section is rated for a continuous output of 100 A, so the drive can energize medium-power servomotors without derating in cyclic duty. Thermal energy is removed by air from inside the control cabinet, which means the unit relies on conditioned enclosure air rather than an external heat sink. Two feedback formats are accepted: digital servo feedback for high-resolution encoder signals and resolver feedback for transformer-based position data. This combination allows the controller to support different motor feedback technologies within the same drive platform and gives the control system flexibility when matching motors to the application.
The unit belongs to Line 02 and uses hardware Version 2. Drive behavior is assigned by Function ID 01, which identifies the matching control type for this model. The required software is supplied as a separate subitem rather than being included in the base unit. These identifiers distinguish the module revision and control variant used within the DDS platform. They are useful when a cabinet contains several related drive modules and the correct configuration must be selected for the installed hardware. The drive can be grouped with other DDS units in the same enclosure.
