Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE25-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It coordinates torque, speed, and position loops for compatible synchronous and induction motors on multi-axis machinery. Within a closed control cabinet, the unit links motion axes to higher-level automation through its communication interface and provides real-time command execution for packaging, printing, and handling systems. This makes the controller suitable for machines that require synchronized acceleration, stable speed control, and accurate stopping at programmed positions. It is intended for cabinet installation alongside other motion components in a shared drive system.
This controller supplies a continuous output of 100 A, which supports motor matching for dynamic load cycles. Command data and drive status are exchanged over the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic fiber-optic networking with other drives and PLCs. The enclosure is rated to IP20, so the cabinet must provide additional protection against dust and accidental contact. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, which draws enclosure air across the heat sink without an external blower path. Because cooling air is taken from inside the enclosure, cabinet airflow must remain unobstructed around the heat sink area. Safe thermal operation requires an ambient temperature of 0–45 °C.
Installation altitude can reach 1000 m before derating is required, making the unit suitable for most plant floors above sea level. Position feedback from connected motors is accepted through digital servo and resolver feedback, which allows use with different encoder systems on the same machine. That flexibility is useful when one machine combines axes with different motor feedback devices. When power is off, the electronics can be stored at −30–85 °C. The controller uses Function ID 01 and Line 02 and is supplied as Version 2.
