Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE24-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In multi-axis machines, the unit receives speed or position commands from a motion controller and converts them into three-phase power for synchronous or induction servo motors. It forms the power stage between the control system and the motor, translating command values into controlled torque and speed. This closed-loop role lets the drive regulate axis response accurately during coordinated machine motion and repeatable production cycles.
It communicates with higher-level CNC or PLC hardware through the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic cycle times and synchronized axis updates. This interface supports coordinated motion across several axes without timing drift between modules. The controller has a rated current of 100 A, which is the continuous output available to the motor windings. Protection is limited to IP20, so the controller must be mounted inside a cabinet that prevents contact with live parts and blocks solid objects larger than 12 mm. The permitted ambient operating range is 0 to 45 °C, and heat is removed by internal air cooling, so enclosure airflow must carry heat away from the heat sink.
The drive accepts encoder signals through digital servo feedback, and it can also process resolver feedback for compatibility with older motor systems. That flexibility is useful when a machine combines newer digital motors with installed motors that still use analog position sensing. Installation altitude is limited to 1000 m, because thinner air above that height reduces convective cooling and electrical clearance margins. Storage temperatures can range from -30 to 85 °C, which helps protect the electronics during transport or long periods in storage before installation. The product is Version 2 in Line 02 of the series, placing it within that DDS revision.
