Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W100-BE14-02-FW belongs to the DDS Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a digital AC servo drive controller, it provides closed-loop regulation for synchronous and induction servomotors used in material-handling stations, packaging lines, and other automated cells. The unit forms the intermediate layer between a motion controller and a motor, translating command data into controlled current and voltage patterns that generate precise torque and speed. Because current regulation happens inside the drive, the higher-level controller can focus on motion commands and axis coordination.
This model communicates with higher-level motion systems through a SERCOS interface, allowing real-time exchange of setpoints and status words over a fiber-optic ring. Electrical protection against finger contact and small debris is provided by its IP20 housing, so the drive must be mounted inside a cabinet. Thermal management relies on air from inside the control cabinet, and the internal airflow path removes heat without drawing ambient plant dust directly through the electronics. The drive can continuously deliver up to 100 A of phase current to the connected motor. This current capacity supports servo axes that need sustained output during acceleration and continuous operation. Continuous service is permitted when the ambient enclosure temperature stays within 0–45 °C.
Altitude should not exceed 1000 m because thinner air reduces convection and dielectric strength. The feedback connector accepts digital servo feedback and resolver signals, allowing compatibility with a broad Rexroth motor range and supporting either digital or analog feedback methods. Storage or transport is permitted from -30 to 85 °C when condensation is avoided. The unit is Version 2 and belongs to Line 02.
