The DDS02.2-W100-BE05-03-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series and built on the Line 02 platform. Within an automation cell, the unit delivers precise phase and frequency modulation to an attached AC servo motor so that commanded torque and position profiles are followed without overshoot. Installed inside a control cabinet, it bridges the higher-level motion processor and the motor windings, supplying regulated power and receiving high-speed feedback for synchronized multi-axis operation. It is intended for closed-loop control of servo axes in packaging, handling, and other automated machinery where stable current regulation supports accurate motion.

It exchanges real-time axis data over the SERCOS interface, a deterministic fiber-optic network that provides uniform cycle times across multiple drives. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must remain unobstructed to move heat past the finned heat sink. The power stage is rated for a continuous output of 100 A, allowing the controller to energize medium-frame servo motors without derating. An IP20 housing limits finger access and requires installation in a closed enclosure. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and the permitted ambient operating range of 0 to 45 °C allows full-load operation without additional climate control.

The drive accepts digital servo feedback and resolver feedback inputs, so it can work with either encoder style without extra interface cards. This allows the control loop to receive motor position and speed information from a feedback system that matches the axis design.
