Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W050-BT29-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit serves as the interface between a motion control system and the synchronous or induction servo motors it powers, regulating current and velocity loops to maintain commanded motion profiles in industrial automation cells. It integrates directly with Indramat supply modules and interface cards commonly used in multi-axis machining centers and material-handling stations. This arrangement supports coordinated axis operation in applications that need stable motor control and compact cabinet installation.
The controller supplies up to 50 A of continuous output current, so axis groups with medium-power motors can be energized without additional amplifiers. Its enclosure carries an IP20 rating, which means only solid objects larger than 12 mm can enter and the device must be mounted inside a protected cabinet. Reliable thermal performance is supported within an ambient range of 0–45 °C, which suits enclosed industrial cabinets that remain within normal operating conditions. The unit processes feedback from both Digital servo feedback encoders and Resolver feedback devices. This allows the same controller platform to operate with either high-resolution encoder systems or more rugged resolver-based motor feedback.
Cooling relies on internal air cooling drawn through the cabinet, so enclosure airflow must be maintained for full current delivery at altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level. When the machine is powered down, the electronics remain stable across a storage window of -30–85 °C, allowing transport and spare storage in unconditioned warehouses. The control board uses Function ID 01, and the hardware platform is built in version 2. Cabinet placement should leave a clear path for intake and exhaust air so the cooling path is not restricted during operation.
