Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W050-BE95-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller from the DDS Drive Controllers series. Used in automated production lines, packaging equipment, and material-handling axes, it regulates current, speed, and position for compatible synchronous and induction motors. The controller works between a higher-level control system and the motor, converting command data into regulated three-phase output while returning operating feedback for coordinated motion. This closed-loop operation helps the axis maintain stable response during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-speed movement. Because the drive manages the motor loops internally, the higher-level controller can send motion commands without handling fast power-stage regulation tasks.
The drive exchanges motion commands over the SERCOS interface, which supports fiber-optic ring topologies and synchronized data exchange between the control system and the drive. Its power stage can deliver up to 50 A of continuous output current, which is the sustained current available without thermal derating. Heat from the power electronics is removed by air drawn from inside the control cabinet, so no external blower is required. For motor feedback, the controller accepts digital servo feedback and can also process resolver feedback. This allows the unit to work with motors that use either feedback method. The feedback handling supports accurate commutation and position monitoring during dynamic motion sequences.
The controller is part of Line 02, placing it in the second design family of this product range. It carries Function ID 01, which indicates the operating profile used by the unit. The electronics board is built in Version 2, indicating the board revision for this model. These identifiers are part of the product coding and help distinguish the electrical layout and control behavior of the controller. They are also used to keep the unit matched with the correct configuration set for its intended application.
