Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W050-BE75-02-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is a digital AC servo drive controller intended to regulate torque, velocity, and position of matched servo motors in multi-axis automation equipment. Mounted inside a control cabinet, this Line 02, Version 2 drive receives motion commands over a fiber-optic SERCOS ring and supplies controlled three-phase power to the connected motor. It forms the interface between the central motion processor and the mechanical load, so commanded motion profiles can be translated into motor current and continuous feedback correction.
The controller exchanges setpoint and status data through a SERCOS interface, allowing synchronous, deterministic communication with PLCs and other drives on the motion network. A rated output current of 50 A lets the module energize medium-power servo axes, while its protection rating of IP20 limits installation to enclosed panels without direct dust or water exposure. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so the cabinet's recirculated airflow passes through the drive to carry away losses from the power electronics. Reliable position verification is provided by digital servo feedback, and the electronics operate within an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C to reduce the risk of thermal derating during sustained operation.
For applications that favor rugged sensor technology, the unit also supports resolver feedback, broadening compatibility with older motor families and motors that return analog position signals. When powered down, components withstand a storage climate of -30 to +85 °C, so spare drives can be warehoused without active conditioning and without exposing the electronics to damaging temperatures. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, which covers most standard factory elevations and supports full current capacity in normal indoor installations.
