Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W050-BE43-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the DDS Drive Controllers series. It commands synchronous and asynchronous servo motors in automated handling, machining, and assembly cells by regulating torque and velocity through closed-loop feedback. Installed in a control cabinet rack, the unit links the machine PLC to the power stage and translates motion commands into precisely timed three-phase outputs for multi-axis positioning tasks. This arrangement lets the drive coordinate rapid starts, stops, and speed changes while maintaining stable motor control during changing loads across the machine.
Communication with higher-level motion controls is carried out over the SERCOS interface, a fiber-optic bus that transmits real-time setpoints and status at deterministic cycle times. The controller supplies up to 50 A of rated output current, allowing connected motors to accelerate rapidly without exceeding the thermal limits of the power electronics. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air flows directly across the heat sink rather than relying on an external blower. The enclosure is rated IP20, and reliable operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C. This combination supports synchronized axis updates and consistent response during demanding motion sequences.
For storage and transport, the electronics tolerate temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, allowing the drive to remain in unconditioned warehouse spaces without damage. Installation height is limited to 1000 m because thinner air above this level reduces cooling performance and requires output reduction. Position feedback can be processed in two formats, including digital servo feedback for high-accuracy encoders and resolver signals for heavy-duty axes. Resolver input remains available when a motor uses analog feedback instead of an encoder. Motion and diagnostic behavior follows Function ID 01, and the unit is Version 2.
