Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.2-W050-BE41-01-FW as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit is a digital AC servo drive controller intended to coordinate servo axes installed in a shared supply rack within an industrial cabinet. By converting commanded data streams into phase-controlled output, it allows precise velocity and torque regulation for connected motors used in automated machining centers, robotics, and conveyor modules. In a cabinet-based drive system, it serves as the control and power stage between the shared DC supply and the motor. This layout lets several axes share the same supply section while each controller regulates motion on its own channel.

Field communication relies on the SERCOS interface, enabling deterministic fiber-optic links between the controller and higher-level PLCs. A continuous output of 50 A gives it enough current for medium-power motors without external boosters. Thermal removal is handled by internal air cooling, so cabinet air passes through the heat sink rather than requiring an external blower. With a protection rating of IP20, live parts remain finger-safe, but the unit still requires installation inside an enclosure. Position and speed loops accept digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing compatible encoder technologies to be used on different axes. Reliable operation is maintained across an ambient range of 0–45 °C.

The controller can be mounted up to 1000 m above sea level without cooling changes, and it may be stored or transported between -30–85 °C when power is removed. It is part of Line 02 and Version 2, and it carries Function ID Version 01. These identifiers distinguish the configuration used for this unit within the DDS platform. The wider storage and transport range allows the module to be moved or warehoused before installation without exceeding its stated limits.
