Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W050-BE34-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It provides closed-loop power conversion for coordinated axes, allowing synchronous or induction servo motors to follow precise velocity and position commands in automated machinery. Acting as the axis interface between a motion CPU and the motor windings, the unit modulates current and voltage in real time so commanded torque is delivered accurately during rapid acceleration, constant-speed travel, and stopping. In multi-axis equipment, it serves as the local power stage for a single axis while remaining synchronized with the larger motion system.
It exchanges motion data over the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic cycle times with fiber-optic noise immunity. A continuous output capability of 50 A permits the controller to drive medium-power axes without overloading the power stage during normal operation. Motor feedback is processed through the integrated digital servo feedback channel, and the controller also supports an optional resolver input. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air passes across the heat sink without the need for an external fan package. Component protection against fingers and casual contact is provided by the IP20 housing, which is intended for installation inside an enclosed control cabinet. For reliable electronic performance, the controller operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C.
When not in service, the drive tolerates storage temperatures from -30 to 85 °C, allowing transport or storage under a broad range of indoor conditions. Installation elevation is limited to 1000 m to maintain full current capacity before derating is required because lower air density reduces cooling effectiveness. The control-specific program set is ordered as a separate firmware subitem rather than being included with the base unit. That arrangement keeps the hardware and the application-specific software package as separate parts. It also allows the same controller platform to be used with different machine functions when the matching software package is selected.
