The DDS02.2-W050-BE30-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the DDS Drive Controllers series. It regulates torque, speed, and position for compatible synchronous or asynchronous motors in multi-axis industrial automation cells. The controller forms the link between a higher-level motion controller and the machine's electromechanical load, allowing closed-loop motion on positioning, transfer, and processing axes. That role lets the drive translate control commands into regulated motor current while continuously monitoring the connected axis response.

This unit supplies up to 50 A of continuous output current, allowing the connected motor to deliver rated torque without thermal reduction during normal operation. Thermal energy is removed by internal cabinet air cooling; the controller draws air from within the panel and directs it across the heat sink fins instead of using external ducts. Because the unit relies on cabinet air, the enclosure should provide a clear internal airflow path around the heat sink area.

For sites situated up to 1000 m above sea level, the drive maintains its electrical ratings without additional derating. The controller supports digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, so either feedback type can be used with a matching motor. When the machine is powered down, safe storage is permitted within a temperature window of -30 – 85 °C without risk of component damage. The controller requires a separate firmware subitem so the intended motion profile and parameter set can be loaded for operation. It belongs to line 02, uses version 2 electronics, and carries Function ID version 01. These identifiers distinguish the product generation used within the DDS platform.
