The DDS02.2-W050-BE06-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit coordinates torque, speed, and position loops for synchronous and induction motors in automated machinery such as packaging stations and material-handling axes. Acting as the interface between the machine control system and the motor windings, it converts commanded motion profiles into regulated three-phase output currents while monitoring feedback devices to maintain accurate positioning during repeated machine cycles.

With a rated output current of 50 A, the controller can energize medium-power servo motors without saturation. Command data reaches the unit over the SERCOS interface, so fiber-optic cabling can link multiple drives in a deterministic ring for synchronized motion control. Rotor position is processed through combined digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, allowing compatibility with different feedback devices and giving the control system accurate motor position data. The housing has an IP20 rating, which provides finger-safe openings and makes the unit suitable only for installation inside a closed panel. Continuous operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C, and higher temperatures require output derating to protect the power electronics.

Installation is approved up to 1000 m above sea level before derating is required. Heat generated by the power section is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet ventilation must provide the required airflow through the enclosure. The controller tolerates non-operating temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, which allows unpowered storage in unheated warehouse spaces. The unit is part of Line 02 and uses Function ID Version 01 with hardware Version 2.
