The DDS02.2-W050-BE01-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. Mounted inside a control cabinet, it forms the power and control interface between an Indramat supply module and the machine's servo motor, with power conversion and signal processing handled in the same housing. In an industrial automation cell, it generates controlled three-phase output, processes feedback, and communicates with the supervisory PLC to execute position, speed, or torque commands for axes such as pick-and-place gantries, printing rollers, or material-handling stations.

The controller delivers a continuous output of 50 A, allowing it to energize medium-frame motors without derating when acceleration peaks are moderate. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged over a SERCOS interface, so timing is cycle-synchronous and fiber-optic isolation minimizes electrical noise. Heat is removed by air from inside the control cabinet, so cabinet airflow must carry the drive's losses away rather than rely on external fans. For position feedback, the unit interprets digital servo feedback as well as resolver feedback, allowing it to work with Indramat motors equipped with high-resolution encoders and with legacy machines that still use sinusoidal resolvers.
