Internal Product Review
The DDS02.2-W015-BE34-01-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat digital AC servo drive controller with a 15 A rated current. SERCOS interface communication and support for digital servo or resolver feedback give the controller strong flexibility in motion systems. IP20 protection with internal cabinet air cooling makes the unit a very solid choice for clean panel environments.

Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W015-BE34-01-FW is an AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. Installed with a compatible power supply module, it regulates motor torque, speed, and position in packaging lines, material handling axes, and other automated machinery. By processing motor feedback and issuing precise current commands, the unit supports repeatable motion with the timing accuracy required for coordinated industrial tasks. Its role is to act as the control stage between the machine command system and the connected servo motor.
Communication with higher-level PLCs or motion cards takes place over the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic command and diagnostic exchange on a fiber-optic ring. The drive delivers a continuous phase current of 15 A, so connected motor circuits and cabling must be matched to that load during operation. A protection rating of IP20 limits the unit to clean, enclosed cabinets where accidental contact and conductive debris are controlled. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must carry heat away from the sink surfaces during sustained operation. Reliable operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from 0–45 °C, and higher surrounding temperatures can reduce cooling margin during heavy duty cycles.
Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, where normal air density still supports the intended cooling performance. The controller can work with digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, which allows it to interface with both newer and legacy motor feedback systems. Long-term storage is permissible from -30–85 °C, covering cold storage areas as well as warm indoor warehouse conditions when the unit is not in service. The type code includes 01, indicating the configured function set for this controller.
