The DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts DC bus energy from a supply module into regulated three-phase power, exchanges motion commands through a deterministic network, and closes the position loop by evaluating motor feedback signals. In automated handling, packaging, and machining cells, it serves as the electromechanical link between a PLC or motion card and a connected Rexroth motor. The controller is intended for servo applications that require repeatable response during indexing, feed motion, and coordinated axis changes.
The drive is rated for a continuous output current of 15 A, which indicates how much motor phase current the power stage can supply continuously during normal operation. Cooling is achieved by internal air cooling drawn from inside the cabinet, so the installation requires adequate panel airflow but no external ducting. An enclosure rating of IP20 allows mounting in protected electrical compartments where only limited ingress protection is necessary. Command, status, and diagnostic data are transferred via the SERCOS interface, providing cycle-synchronous communication so several axes can exchange commands and status data in coordinated motion systems. For position verification, the unit accepts digital servo and resolver feedback, so it can operate with motors that use either feedback technology.
