Product Description:
The DDS02.2-W015-BE11-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is designed to regulate torque, speed, and position for synchronous or induction motors in modular automation lines, letting a central motion controller coordinate multiple axes through fiber-optic communication. By converting commanded setpoints into precise three-phase output, the unit links low-voltage control logic with the higher-power stages needed to actuate machinery such as pick-and-place handlers, packaging stations, or printing cylinders.
This model exchanges cyclic data through a SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic real-time networking with drives of the same class. During operation, it can supply up to 15 A of continuous output current, matching mid-frame motors in handling capacity. Heat generated by the IGBT bridge is removed by air from inside the control cabinet; because airflow is drawn internally, no external ducting is required, but cabinet temperature must still be managed. The housing carries an IP20 protection rating, so it is intended for integration in an enclosed panel instead of exposed shop-floor mounting. The unit maintains rated electrical performance at ambient temperatures of 0–45 °C, allowing full current output inside standard industrial equipment rooms.
Feedback versatility is offered through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, enabling the same controller to close loops with high-resolution encoders or rugged resolvers depending on axis demands. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level; beyond that height, cooling margins must be recalculated. When powered down, the unit tolerates storage or transit temperatures from −30 to +85 °C without damage to electronic components. The drive uses Function ID Version 01, which identifies the applicable parameter version for the unit.
