Product Description:
The DDS02.2-A200-BE45-01-FW is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts higher-level motion commands into controlled motor currents so automated equipment can position axes accurately and maintain commanded speeds. Within an industrial automation cabinet, the unit connects to a separate supply module and directs power to a single servo or induction motor, forming one axis in a coordinated multi-drive system. Because it handles one motor per axis, it can be combined with neighboring modules in racks where several axes must start, stop, and follow position commands together. This layout is common in packaging lines, material-handling systems, and machine tools that require several coordinated motion channels.
In continuous operation, the controller supplies up to 200 A, supporting motors that demand high torque during acceleration and steady-state running. Real-time command data travels over the SERCOS interface, giving the drive deterministic update cycles suited to synchronized motion profiles. Rotor position is returned through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, so the same unit can process high-resolution encoder signals or resolver signals without external adaptation. Internally generated heat is removed by air from outside the control cabinet, which moves fresh ambient air across the heatsink rather than recycling warm enclosure air. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the device is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet.
The electronics operate across an ambient range of 0 – 45 °C, while storage is permitted between -30 – 85 °C when the unit is not powered. Altitude can reach 1000 m before output derating is required, which covers most standard plant locations. The unit is part of Line 02 and Version 2, and it carries Function ID revision 01. These identifiers distinguish the drive variant used within the DDS platform. This helps match the controller to compatible motors and communication modules already used in the same machine section.
