The DDS drive system is a modular unit by Bosch Rexroth. One of its components is the intelligent DDS drive controller, which can be combined with powerful servo motors like the MDD, LSF, 2AD, and ADF motors to produce rapid-response drives. These drives are used in robotics, textile machines, handling machines, and printing and packaging machines.
The DDS02.2-A200-BE23-01-FW is a DDS drive controller designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a Version 1 type of the Line 2 drive controller, equipped with a cold technology cooling system. This cooling method uses a cooling airflow outside the control cabinet and allows the device to be mounted in a small cabinet with its supply unit. The supply unit can be any of the models from Indramat, as long as it has a regulated 24V DC voltage. The Ingress Protection rating of the control cabinet of this unit is IP 10 according to EN 60529. For the drive controller itself, its protection rating is IP 20.
The control communication module of the DDS02.2-A200-BE23-01-FW is a SERCOS plug-in module. This interface uses a fiber optic cable to operate SERCOS-compatible controls and provides inputs for evaluating travel range limit switches, sensor inputs, and reference switches. The rated current for the drive controller is 200A, while its permissible DC bus voltage is 300V with a tolerance of +/- 15%. It can also be connected to motors with digital servo feedback or resolver feedback. In addition, its firmware fixes its functional features, and the same version can be re-ordered but as a separate subitem. This drive controller should be installed at a maximum height of 1000m and operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45o C.
