The modular DDS drive system by Bosch Rexroth is a highly flexible system where AC servo and main drives can be combined to create compact drive packages. The drive controllers in this system comprise the DDS series, and they function as rapid-response drives with AC servo motors like those in the 1MB, MKD, LAF, and LAR series.
The DDS02.2-A200-BE16-02-FW is a digital drive controller in the DDS series by Bosch Rexroth. It is a component of the DDS drive system whose plugin module is the SERCOS interface. As a result, it can be used to operate digital drives with SERCOS-compatible controls. The use of this interface requires a fiber optic cable, and it ensures the safe and rapid transmission of data between both devices. Additionally, the SERCOS plug-in module provides inputs for evaluating sensor inputs, travel range limit switches, and reference switches.
The rated current required for the operation of the DDS02.2-A200-BE16-02-FW is 200 A. Its designated DC bus voltage is 300 V with a tolerance of +/- 15%, and it can be connected to Indramat supply units with a 24V DC voltage. The compact design of this drive controller allows it to be mounted in a control cabinet with its supply unit. This control cabinet has an IP 10 protection rating according to EN 60529 and is impermeable to solid extrinsic objects with a diameter of 50 mm or more. The cooling of this DDS drive controller is with cold technology where the cooling airflow is outside the control cabinet. It is compatible with motors that have digital servo feedback or resolver feedback as and at its site of operation, the maximum ambient temperature should be 45o C.
