Product Description:
The DDS02.2-A200-BA03-01-FW is a servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. Positioned between a motion controller and a three-phase servo motor, it converts low-level command signals into controlled armature current so automated axes can maintain speed and position with tight accuracy. Its role is to translate controller commands into motor current with repeatable response during acceleration, holding, and deceleration. The module slides into a common backplane and shares a DC link with adjacent units, which supports compact multi-axis cabinet layouts. Cooling air is drawn through the front grille, making the unit suitable for machine tools, printing presses, and assembly systems.
Nominal output capacity is 200 A, which provides enough phase current for large-frame motors without an external amplifier stage. Command and diagnostic signals enter through an analog interface, which suits systems that do not use digital fieldbus hardware. For thermal management, the unit relies on external air from outside the control cabinet, so switching losses are removed without adding heat to the enclosure interior. Component protection is limited to IP20, which means the controller must be installed inside a closed panel. Continuous service is permitted in an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C.
The drive operates at elevations up to 1000 m before derating is required. It is part of Line 02, uses Function ID version 01, and has hardware release 2. Position control can use digital servo feedback for high-resolution encoder systems or resolver feedback for applications that prefer a rugged analog feedback device. As a Digital AC Servo Drive Controller, it is intended for controlled servo operation in multi-axis equipment. During storage, the unit tolerates temperatures from -30 to 85 °C.
