Product Description:
The DDS02.2-A100-BE30-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for inclusion in the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit converts commanded setpoints from higher-level motion systems into regulated three-phase currents for synchronous and asynchronous servomotors, enabling position and velocity loops in automated machinery. By housing the power electronics, network interface, and sensor processing in a single chassis, it serves as the intermediary between PLC motion commands and the mechanical axes that execute production tasks. This arrangement lets one compact module manage drive power, control communication, and motor feedback without requiring separate axis-level hardware.
Field communication is handled through a SERCOS interface, so real-time setpoints and diagnostics travel over fiber-optic rings with deterministic timing. The power stage is rated for a continuous output of 100 A, allowing it to drive mid-frame motors during acceleration and sustained operation. An IP20 housing provides basic finger protection inside electrical cabinets, so the controller is intended for protected cabinet mounting rather than exposed installation. Thermal energy is removed by air from outside the control cabinet, so external airflow passes across the heat sink instead of recirculating warm enclosure air. Reliable component operation is permitted between 0 to 45 °C, which requires the surrounding cabinet air to stay within that range under load.
Full current delivery is supported up to 1000 m above sea level before derating becomes necessary. Long-term storage is permitted between -30 to 85 °C without harming insulation materials or electrolytic capacitors. Position feedback from motors can be processed through digital servo feedback or resolver signals, which helps the controller work with different motor feedback systems in the same machine. The unit is hardware version 2 and belongs to Line 02 with Function ID BE30. Those identifiers distinguish this control section within the DDS range and keep the drive aligned with the intended control and power-stage configuration.
