Product Description:
The DDS02.2-A100-BE13-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a drive controller, it forms the link between the main supply and synchronous or induction servo motors, executing torque and velocity commands from higher-level motion systems. In automated machining cells or material-handling stations, the unit regulates motor current so that commanded profiles are followed accurately while protecting both the drive and connected mechanics. The design follows the modular DDS platform, allowing multiple axes to be combined in a common supply configuration inside a single cabinet.
Communication with supervisory PLCs is carried over the SERCOS interface, which provides real-time fiber-optic signaling for synchronized multi-axis motion. The power stage is sized for a continuous output of 100 A. This is the maximum RMS motor current the controller can deliver without derating. Heat produced at that current is removed by air drawn from outside the control cabinet, which helps limit cabinet temperature rise. Component ingress protection is rated IP20, so terminals are touch-safe but the housing is not sealed against moisture. Reliable operation is permitted within an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C, which aligns with standard factory conditions.
For storage or transit, the electronics tolerate temperatures between -30 to +85 °C, allowing spare units to be warehoused without added climate control. Installation height can reach 1000 m above sea level before cooling or current derating is needed. Motor position is processed through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback, giving the controller flexibility to run newer motors or legacy models on the same axis. The unit carries Function ID version 01 and pairs with line 02 hardware built to version 2 standards.
