Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.2-A100-BE11-02-FW, a digital AC servo drive controller in the DDS Drive Controllers series. In automated systems, it supplies regulated three-phase power to synchronous or induction motors and converts motion commands into controlled torque and speed changes. The controller serves as the power stage between the drive system and the motor, helping axes follow commanded acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state speed profiles. It is suited for packaging lines, machining centers, and material-handling equipment where coordinated motion and repeatable axis response are required.

The drive delivers a continuous output of 100 A, allowing it to handle medium-to-high inertia loads without current derating. An enclosure rating of IP20 limits exposure to dust and accidental contact, so the unit must be installed inside a protected cabinet. Communication with higher-level controllers is handled through the SERCOS interface, which supports deterministic cyclic data exchange for closed-loop control. Thermal management relies on external air cooling, and ambient air drawn from outside the control cabinet passes over the heat sink to remove heat from the power electronics. Reliable operation is permitted in an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C, which covers typical factory conditions when proper airflow is maintained.

Feedback flexibility is provided through digital servo feedback and resolver feedback inputs, allowing one controller to work with motors that use either feedback method. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level before additional derating is required. For storage or transport, the electronics can withstand temperatures from -30 to 85 °C without damage. The controller belongs to line 02 and is supplied as Version 2, which places it within the second generation of this DDS configuration while keeping the established cabinet form factor.
