The DDS02.1-W200-DS63-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. Installed between the supply module and the servo motor, it modulates three-phase output in response to velocity and position commands from a higher-level PLC. The drive interprets those commands and converts supply-bus power into controlled motor current for accurate axis movement. By handling closed-loop current and speed regulation, the unit supports precise torque, speed, and position control in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling stations. This operating role makes it suitable for automation tasks that require repeatable motion under changing load conditions.
To exchange real-time setpoints and diagnostics, it includes a SERCOS interface, which supports fiber-optic ring communication with the motion system. The controller can deliver up to 200 A of continuous output current. Its IP20 housing requires installation inside a sealed cabinet. Heat is removed by air cooling from inside the control cabinet, so the cabinet ventilation must carry away the drive's thermal losses. When the machinery is idle, the unit can be stored at temperatures from -30 to 85 °C without harming capacitors or control boards.
