Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W200-DS61-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It supplies regulated power to Indramat synchronous and asynchronous servo motors and carries out the velocity and torque commands sent by a higher-level motion control. Installed as an axis amplifier in a control cabinet, it supports coordinated motion in packaging machines, printing presses, and other factory automation equipment. It serves as the electrical link between the control system and the motor, regulating output so the axis responds predictably during acceleration, constant-speed travel, and braking.
Data exchange with the higher-level controller occurs through the SERCOS interface, so real-time process data moves over a fiber-optic ring with precise timing. Heat generated by the output stage is removed by internal air cooling; cabinet air passes through the heat sink and returns inside the enclosure, so no external ducting is required. The power section can supply up to 200 A of continuous current, which allows the controller to run high-torque motors without derating under normal conditions. An IP20 enclosure provides finger-safe protection and requires installation in a protected cabinet. Position and speed signals are processed by digital servo feedback, and the controller maintains full output in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C. Its digital control structure helps the machine maintain repeatable motion during indexing, speed changes, and other commanded axis movements.
Installation is limited to altitudes of 1000 m above sea level so cooling performance and insulation remain within the intended operating range. When the machine is powered down, the unit may be stored or transported at temperatures from -30 to 85 °C without harming its electronic components. The specified storage range helps protect the drive during shipment, seasonal shutdowns, and spare-parts warehousing. Before operation, the controller must be loaded with the appropriate firmware so its control functions match the connected motor and application.
