Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.1-W200-DS50-00-FW, a digital AC servo drive controller in the DDS Drive Controllers series. Installed inside multi-axis automation racks, the unit converts commands from a machine control into regulated current and voltage for servomotors, supporting coordinated torque, speed, and positioning tasks on packaging lines, machine tools, and handling systems. It serves as the link between the control system and the motor power stage, allowing multiple axes to follow precise motion profiles while keeping cabinet layouts compact. In shared control cabinets, it can operate alongside companion modules that support synchronized motion across several axes.
Communication is handled over the SERCOS interface, which provides deterministic timing for cyclic setpoint data and diagnostic messages. To support high-inertia axes, the controller delivers up to 200 A of continuous output current. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, which draws cabinet air across the heat sink without external ducts.
