One of the most innovative drive systems released by Bosch Rexroth in the global drive market is the DDS drive system. It has a modular configuration that enhances the flexible combination of AC servo and main drives to create a drive package that uses one supply unit. The drive controllers in this system are the DDS drive controllers, and they are used in multiple applications.
The DDS02.1-W200-DS45-00-FW is a digital drive controller model in the modular DDS drive system by Bosch Rexroth. It is used with motors with digital servo feedback as their motor feedback system and is equipped with a SERCOS interface. The SERCOS plug-in module allows the digital drive to be operated with controls that are compatible with the interface via a fiber optic cable. In addition, it offers inputs that are used to evaluate reference switches, sensor inputs, and travel range limit switches. This drive controller’s cooling is achieved with the heat technology method that requires a large control cabinet and air conditioning but minimal mounting efforts.
The control cabinet in which the DDS02.1-W200-DS45-00-FW is mounted also houses its supply unit. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 10 according to DIN 40 050, hence it is built with protection against damage due to the penetration of solids larger than 50mm in diameter. The drive controller can be connected to its supply unit with a regulated DC 24V voltage. The permissible DC bus voltage required for its operation is 300V with a tolerance of ±15%, and it has a current rating of 200A. It should be installed at a maximum installation altitude of 1000m and operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC.
