The DDS02.1-W200-DS41-01-FW is a digital servo drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series. Installed in multi-axis assemblies, the unit conditions and switches three-phase power so that synchronous or induction motors can follow velocity and torque commands from a higher-level motion controller. It translates network commands into controlled motor current for closed-loop movement in tooling, packaging, and material-handling equipment. This operating role allows one drive module to support precise acceleration, deceleration, and steady-speed control on demanding machine axes.
Real-time setpoints and diagnostic data are exchanged over the SERCOS interface, which supports deterministic communication in coordinated motion systems. Thermal management relies on internal cabinet air cooling, so the enclosure must carry enough airflow to remove switching losses without external ducting. At the motor connector, the drive can supply a continuous 200 A of phase current, which is the sustained RMS current the supply system and cabling must handle. Motor position returns through digital servo feedback, allowing the controller to correct axis error during operation. The unit is part of Line 02, so its connector arrangement and compatible option hardware follow that design line.
