The DDS02.1-W200-DS32-00 is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series. It supplies regulated three-phase power to synchronous and induction motors and exchanges status data with higher-level control systems. By closing the velocity and position loops directly in the drive, it reduces processing load on the PLC and supports coordinated axis motion in automated assembly cells, gantry stages, and material transport equipment. Because the drive handles the closed-loop calculations internally, the higher-level controller can focus on sequencing and machine logic instead of motor regulation. That makes it suitable for systems where several axes must start, stop, and track commanded positions together.

A fiber-optic SERCOS interface carries cyclic setpoints and diagnostics at real-time speed, which simplifies multi-axis communication through a single optical network. The power stage delivers a continuous 200 A of output current, allowing the drive to operate medium- to high-torque motors without adding parallel amplifiers. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so the control cabinet must provide a clear airflow path across the heat sink. The enclosure protection level is IP20, which provides touch-safe terminals but still requires installation inside a closed cabinet to keep out dust and moisture. Reliable operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C, which suits typical industrial indoor conditions.

Position and speed loops use digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to process motor feedback signals directly for accurate control. This feedback method supports direct monitoring of rotor position and motor speed inside the controller. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m; above that height, current and switching frequency must be reduced because thinner air lowers cooling effectiveness.
