Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W200-DS13-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts DC-bus energy into the three-phase output required by synchronous or induction servomotors and sends status information to the machine control. By integrating current regulation, velocity loops, and parameter storage in one module, the unit simplifies installation in multi-axis cabinets and supports precise motion sequences in material-handling stations, metal-forming cells, and automated assembly equipment.
The drive exchanges real-time commands and diagnostics over a SERCOS interface, so fiber-optic rings can distribute synchronized setpoints across several axes. Continuous armature current is limited to 200 A, and this rating sets the thermal duty that cabinet ventilation and the upstream supply must handle. The unit has IP20 protection, which provides finger-safe terminals and requires cabinet installation for additional protection. Cooling air is drawn from inside the control cabinet, so the cabinet helps shield the electronics from oil or coolant in the surrounding machine area and must provide adequate airflow. Rotor position is monitored through digital servo feedback, enabling high-resolution phase alignment without analog converters. The permissible ambient operating range is 0 – 45 °C, allowing installation beside other heat-dissipating equipment when that temperature window is maintained.
Installation altitude is capped at 1000 m, so applications above this height require allowance for thinner air and reduced heat transfer. Long-term storage is permitted between −30 – 85 °C, covering typical warehouse and transit conditions when the packaging remains intact and dry. The drive belongs to Line 02 and is version 1, which places it within the corresponding generation of the DDS platform.
