Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W200-DS11-02 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It coordinates three-phase servo motors in modular automation racks by converting commanded velocity and torque data into regulated phase currents. It is intended for applications that need coordinated torque, speed, and position control in compact multi-axis cabinets. Within an installation, the unit supports high-precision closed-loop motion by interfacing with higher-level CNC or PLC hardware through a fiber-optic bus. This arrangement lets the drive respond quickly to changing load conditions while monitoring motor feedback for protection and stable axis control.
The drive has a rated output current of 200 A, allowing it to energize medium-to-large synchronous servo motors without derating under normal operating conditions. Parameter and real-time data exchange use the SERCOS interface, so the controller can synchronize with other axes through deterministic fiber-optic communication. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, which draws filtered enclosure air across the heat sink and avoids external ducting. The housing has a protection rating of IP20, which provides finger-safe access but no liquid sealing and therefore suits closed electrical cabinets. For continuous operation, the electronics remain functional throughout an ambient temperature range of 0 to 45 °C.
In motion loops, motor position and velocity arrive through digital servo feedback, permitting fine current modulation and automatic electronic nameplate recognition by the connected system. This feedback method allows the controller to evaluate rotor position directly in the drive instead of relying on external processing. Installation is limited to elevations not exceeding 1000 m, because higher altitudes can reduce cooling effectiveness and increase thermal stress inside the unit. During storage, the drive tolerates temperatures from -30 to 85 °C without requiring special handling conditions. The drive is part of Line 02 and uses Version 1 control electronics.
