The DDS02.1-W200-DS01-01 drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. This digital AC servo drive controller acts as the interface between higher-level motion commands and the motor windings it supplies in industrial automation cells. It accepts motion profiles from a PLC, converts them into regulated three-phase output, and supports coordinated multi-axis movement in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. In cabinet-based servo systems, it serves as the power and control stage for compatible motors that require closed-loop torque, speed, and position regulation.

The controller conducts motor power at 200 A, so bus bars and fusing must be sized for continuous high-current delivery. Communication with the motion controller occurs over the SERCOS interface, which carries real-time position commands and status data on a single fiber pair. Rotor position is returned through digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to close its internal velocity and current loops with 32-bit resolution. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must be maintained rather than relying on external heat sinks. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP20, which limits installation to closed electrical enclosures and protects against accidental contact with internal live parts.

The electronics maintain full output between 0 to 45 °C, and the unit can be stored from -30 to 85 °C when it is not in operation. The ambient range supports normal use in industrial control cabinets with managed ventilation. Altitude capability extends to 1000 m, after which output derating is required. The drive uses Function ID 01 with Function ID Version 01. The unit is part of Line 02 and Version 1, which identifies its place within the DDS platform and keeps it aligned with the intended control configuration.
