Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the DDS02.1-W150-DS41-01-FW, a member of the DDS Drive Controllers series. This digital AC servo drive controller distributes controlled three-phase power to matched servomotors while exchanging process data with motion PLCs. Installed in a control cabinet, it closes the current, velocity, and position loops needed for precise axis control in packaging stations, pick-and-place arms, and printing lines. That closed-loop operation allows the connected motor to respond accurately during starts, stops, and speed changes under varying load. It is suited for automated machinery where repeatable positioning and stable speed regulation are required throughout a production cycle.
The controller delivers a continuous output of 150 A, giving it headroom for large torque demands during rapid acceleration. This current capacity supports larger servomotors that need sustained torque instead of only brief peak output. Command and diagnostic data move over the SERCOS interface, a deterministic fiber-optic bus that supports synchronized multi-axis operation with short cycle times. Thermal energy produced by switching losses is removed by internal air cooling, so air from inside the control cabinet carries heat away without external ducts. Rotor position is returned to the drive through digital servo feedback, allowing high-resolution commutation and accurate monitoring of axis motion.
