DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00-FW is a modular DDS series controller with 150 Amps rated output. It is produced by Bosch for industrial motor control applications. Bosch motor series that are compatible with DDS controllers include MDD and MKD synchronous motors, and LAR, and LAF linear motors. Firmware for the unit must be ordered as a separate item. The firmware is stored on the software module that is installed in slot U5 of the controller basic unit. In addition to firmware, the operating parameters for the controller are also stored on the software module. The contents of a software module can be copied to other modules to speed up controller commissioning. Another benefit of the modular approach is that software modules from faulty or malfunctioning units can be moved to replacement units. This allows minimization of system downtime, and ensures business continuity. Bosch has designed the DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00-FW controller with an IP20 rated housing. It mounts vertically and measures 355 x 105 x 325 millimeters. Spacing around the controller helps to ensure smooth flow of air required for heat dissipation. Bosch recommends minimum 40 millimeters spacing on the front side of the unit and 80 millimeters on the top and bottom sides.
