Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It forms the power and control stage between an Indramat supply module and a synchronous or induction servo motor in automated machinery. By modulating three-phase output from a DC bus, the controller regulates motor torque and speed and supports coordinated multi-axis movement in packaging lines, printing presses, and material-handling cells. The design is suited to centralized drive cabinets that feed several motion axes from a shared supply section, and it responds quickly to command changes during acceleration, steady-speed operation, and braking.
It delivers a continuous output current of 150 A, which sets the amount of motor current the power stage can supply without thermal derating. The controller is housed in an IP20 open-frame enclosure, so it must be installed in a closed control cabinet to prevent accidental contact with live conductors. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, meaning cabinet air is drawn through the heatsink, and adequate airflow is needed to keep semiconductor temperatures within limits. Operation is permitted across an ambient range of 0 – 45 °C, and all parameter data and cyclic setpoints are transferred over a SERCOS interface for real-time axis coordination.
The unit can be stored or transported between -30 – 85 °C without damage to electronic components, and it may be mounted at elevations up to 1000 m where reduced air density can lower cooling effectiveness. Position and velocity loops are closed by the attached encoder channel, which the drive reads as Digital servo feedback for high-resolution speed control and stable response at low speed. The product is part of Line 02 and is manufactured as Version 1. Those identifiers distinguish this control revision within the DDS platform.
