The Bosch DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 is a digital drive controller. A complete drive controller is comprised of a basic unit, firmware, software module, command communication module and optional plug in modules. The basic unit of the DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 controller features pre-installed software module and SERCOS command communication module. The firmware for the drive and programmed operating parameters are stored on the software module. Three additional slots are available on the basic unit for plug in modules that may be installed later on. A type plate is attached to the basic unit that contains information such as type code and serial number. This information is provided for purpose of device identification. The type plate should be verified at the time of equipment delivery. The firmware has to be ordered separately. The firmware can be upgraded as newer versions become available.
Rated output of the DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 is 150 Amps. Use of the drive controller outside recommended ambient conditions causes the controller output to derate. The specified ambient and environmental conditions are 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The specified temperature for drive storage and transport is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius. The maximum and minimum relative humidity levels are 95% and 25% respectively. The enclosure of the DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 is IP20 rated. The controller can be installed inside a cabinet for improved environmental protection. However it should be noted that the DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 dissipates heat inside the cabinet. Therefore larger cabinets could be required for ensuring appropriate device separation and smooth air flow. The DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 supports digital servo feedback which enables it to be used with a compatible servo motor. The DDS02.1-W150-DS31-00 should be installed and operated by qualified personnel.
