Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W150-DS29-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts DC bus power into precisely modulated three-phase output for synchronous or induction servo motors used in transfer lines, packaging cells, and machining centers. Because it serves as the actuator stage between the control system and the motor, it translates command values into controlled electrical output with fast response during acceleration, holding, and deceleration. This allows the controller to regulate torque, speed, and position while also monitoring motor load and temperature-related operating limits.
For real-time command exchange, the drive uses a SERCOS interface, which provides deterministic fiber-optic communication with the motion controller. The power stage is rated for up to 150 A of continuous current, so the installation must use conductors and protection devices that match that load. The housing has an IP20 rating, which provides basic finger protection and requires installation inside an enclosure rather than in an exposed location. It operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must carry heat away from the fin stack and prevent warm air from building up around the unit.
Motor feedback is processed through digital servo feedback, allowing accurate position and speed control without an added interface card. This feedback method supports direct loop closure inside the drive, which helps maintain stable axis response during changing load conditions. The controller can be installed at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level before derating is needed. During storage or transport, it tolerates temperatures from -30 to 85 °C. Within the DDS architecture, the unit is part of Line 02. It also carries Function ID Version 01 and Version 1, which identify the product revision used for this model.
