Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W150-DS23-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts line power and high-speed fieldbus commands into controlled three-phase outputs for synchronous or asynchronous servo motors used in industrial handling, packaging, and machining cells. Installed in a control cabinet, the drive closes the electrical loop between a motion controller and the mechanical axis, allowing precise torque, speed, and position regulation during repeated automated cycles.
Its continuous output capacity reaches 150 A, enabling the drive to accelerate heavy loads without current foldback. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged over a SERCOS interface, which maintains deterministic fiber-optic communication across multi-axis networks. Rotor position returns through Digital servo feedback, and this high-resolution signal lets the controller adjust PWM patterns in real time. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must be managed to keep component temperatures stable. The housing carries an IP20 rating, which provides finger protection but requires installation inside a suitable enclosure where dust and moisture are controlled. The drive operates in ambient temperatures from 0 – 45 °C, and available current must be reduced above that range to avoid over-temperature shutdown. Clear airflow around the heat sink helps the cooling system remove power-stage losses during sustained operation.
For transit and warehousing, the unit tolerates ambient conditions from -30 – 85 °C, which supports storage before installation. It can be mounted up to 1000 m above sea level without changes to the stated cooling or derating guidance, so standard cabinet layouts can still be used in typical elevated facilities. The product is Version 1 and follows Line 02 design conventions, which identifies the release used for this DDS model.
