Mounted near the machine axis, it converts DC bus energy into controlled three-phase output so that robots, packaging stations, and transfer lines can regulate torque, speed, and position during automated cycles. When paired with a compatible servo motor, the unit supports closed-loop motion tasks that depend on fast current control and stable speed regulation. This makes it suitable for equipment that must repeat the same move profile across frequent start, stop, and indexing sequences.

Command exchange occurs over the fiber-optic SERCOS interface, while rotor position is returned through digital servo feedback for closed-loop control.
