The DDS02.1-W150-DS11-01 is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It governs three-phase servo motors by modulating current and voltage in real time so that axes follow motion profiles from the supervisory automation system. Housed inside a control cabinet, the unit serves as the power stage between the PLC and the motor, carrying out position, speed, and torque commands during operation. This arrangement lets the controller react quickly to load changes and keep coordinated axes on their commanded path during acceleration, steady running, and deceleration.
This controller exchanges setpoints and diagnostics over a SERCOS interface, providing deterministic fiber-optic communication with the motion CPU. Continuous armature demand is supplied at up to 150 A, which is the maximum RMS output the drive can deliver without derating.
